What stood in the way.
Metrolink needed to win back riders who'd defaulted to cars during the pandemic. The product was the same trains on the same lines — what needed to change was the cultural perception of what riding the train looked and felt like.
How we approached it.
We sourced creators who actually take the train — commuters, photographers, event-hoppers — and let them document honest day-in-the-life journeys across the network. The campaign traded aspirational gloss for the real texture of the ride: the quiet car, the window views, the conversations.
Numbers that moved the brief.
Weekday ridership climbed across the lines the cohort featured, and Metrolink's social following grew materially from an audience that previously skewed older than the rider target.
